In 2002 through 2009 I was regularly taking painting trips to the south of France. I worked on gessoed paper for the ease of transporting paintings. The paper is Arches 300# 100% rag paper made in France, and the coating includes yellow ochre pigment mined in Rousillion. This series became very popular with decorators and most of this work was sold.

Beautiful landscapes are abundant in Provence and Languedoc.
